The 1871 census records Ann Stafford living with her grandparents, Eli and Matilda Hardwick, at "The Wharf". When we found Wharf Lane close to Hardwick Street in Newbold, we figured this must be the neighborhood. |

Joshua Stafford--Family History is Never All Done, Part 2
We had several addresses for the family, from censuses, civil registration documents, and church records. With the help of the GPS in our rental car, which had a lovely british accent, and the excellent navigational and left-side-of-the road driving skills of my husband, we were able to find several of the places where our family lived.
